Scavenger Hunt & Picnic
Collect a quiz sheet, solve the clues, beat the clock and win prizes! In a scavenger hunt there are various clues and items to collect which will be scattered around the FARA area and on nearby Wanstead Flats. Report back by 1.30pm where there will be prizes for the winners and in various other categories such as “most enthusiastic team”. Join in with our picnic on Wanstead Flats which will start from 1pm as the teams return.
The Scavenger Hunt will be suitable for family teams and entrants of all ages, and of course everyone is welcome to the summer picnic and prizegiving – bring food to share and enjoy.
OCTOBER
Sunday 3rd, 2.30 – 5.30pm
Friendly Football, Wanstead Flats
We have booked a pitch on Wanstead Flats for the afternoon, where we can play 5, 6 or 7 aside games, so come and join a team and have fun, or just spectate and lend support! Players should be age 10 to adult. Shelter and refreshments available.
To find us on the day, walk to the end of Ferndale Road and on to the edge of the pitches, and look for our gazebo!
NOVEMBER
Saturday 27th, 5-11pm
Christmas Party, Leytonstone Social Club, High Road E11
The biggest event of the year! We will provide music, facepainting, a buffet and other entertainment such as “guess the weight of the cake”. There will be a bar, a raffle for the adults and a tombola for the little ones. First families and then adults will be catered for with a buffet so we hope everyone will come together and take part. Join us to enjoy the spirit of Christmas as a community.
DECEMBER

Carol Singing
We will come together in the FARA area to sing a range of traditional carols, followed by mulled wine and mince pies. An event for all the family, bring your bells to jingle and lanterns to light our way.
